Critical Areas to Inspect

While there are only a few areas that require much attention, neglecting them can result in time-consuming and costly repairs if they are not inspected by a professional. Any intersection between the cladding and another material and any penetration through the cladding surface can usually be considered a critical area to inspect.

Examples of such critical areas are:

  • Windows
  • Door Thresholds
  • Chimneys
  • Roof/Wall Intersections
  • Cladding/Other Intersections
  • Small Penetrations (EIFS only)
  • Decks
